All runners, race crews and their guests must adhere to the following rules:
- All runners must complete and submit their entry form, online race waiver and race fee before the entry deadline
- Runners under the age of 18 must submit, when registering, a waiver signed by a parent or guardian
- It is recommended that runners under the age of 16 be accompanied by an adult on the distances of 12km and up
- Pacers:
- Pacers are allowed to be used for:
- the last two Homestead Loops and all Summit Loops of the Mammoth (74kms total)
- the last Homestead Loop and both Summit Loops of the Magilla (43kms total)
- the last Homestead Loop and the Summit Loop of the Wallace (31kms total)
- the entire kids Muskrat race
- No charge for pacers
- Pacers must:
- Register online prior to event registration closing
- Sign our online race waiver prior to being able to pace a runner
- Have an official race bib prior to being able to pace a runner
- NOT carry anything for their runner
- Pacers are allowed to be used for:
- Without the assistance of our invaluable volunteers we would not have a race. Many of our volunteers have spent months/weeks/days preparing for this event. Those who offer support during the race will be at their stations for several hours. They have given up their day and weekend in many cases to ensure you have a great race day and the best experience possible. Please give each volunteer the courtesy, respect and sincere thanks they each richly deserve.
- Respect yourself, everyone and everything else including the land.
- Violations of any race rules or any others implemented by the race director(s) verbally or in writing may be grounds for disqualification as determined by the race director(s).
- Runners are responsible for the actions of their crews.
- Everyone associated with the race must comply with all race rules including those given by race officials prior to and during the event.
- Each runner’s official run number must be worn prominently on the body and must be easily visible at all times.
- Runners must follow marked trails at all times.
- Except in case of medical emergency, runners shall not accept transportation aid or assistance in any form from anyone while participating in any race. The only permitted mode of transportation for runners in any race is by foot.
- Support crews are only allowed to offer runners assistance at the Start/Finish area and designated aid stations.
- For safety reasons, all runners must run on the side of the roads in the areas that are marked for runners.
- Runners may not store supplies of any kind along the trail except at designated aid stations and the Start/Finish Area.
- Each runner must be checked in and checked out of all aid stations and the Start/Finish Area.
- All cut-off times must be followed.
- All runners are solely responsible for ensuring their own physical well being before, during and after their race. Race directors, staff and emergency response personnel have complete authority but no obligation to evaluate the condition of any runner at any time and to determine whether the runner may continue.
- Each runner must fully disclose to race officials in writing at the pre-race check-in any existing medical conditions and all prescription medications being taken.
- Littering is prohibited.
- Be kind.
- Smoking is not permitted at the event or anywhere on the trails or on the lands where the race is held.
- All runners are solely responsible for their own medical coverage and all associated costs.
- Any runner who is unable to finish the race must inform the personnel at the Start/Finish Area or the nearest aid station of his/her decision to withdraw and must stop running at that point.
- Runners crossing the finish line after the cutoff will not be listed as official finishers.
- Rivers Edge Ultra Run Inc. may use images taken of any race participants, their support crews, volunteers, friends and family at this event with or without the use of their names and without having to pay compensation for their use to anyone for any lawful purpose, including without limitation event publicity, illustration, advertising, and web content.
- Given most of all the trails are located on private land, access to these trails will only be allowed during the race or during the pre-race training sessions scheduled by the race director(s).
- IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE AS A RUNNER OR VOLUNTEER YOU MUST AGREE TO THE TERMS OF OUR WAIVER.
