Hill of a Race brings a different kind of event to the Edmonton area. Held on the remaining snow after Rabbit Hill Snow Resort has closed for the season it will be a fun and exciting challenge for all abilities.
The races are located on privately owned land along the majestic North Saskatchewan River Valley.
We are very fortunate to have an opportunity to run on this beautiful property. Please keep in mind no access will be allowed to this property except during the race.
The 3 different races being offered are as follows:
- The Snack (5 km):
- This race will be two laps of an approximate 2.5K course up and down the ski slopes
- A la Carte (10 km):
- This race will be four laps of an approximate 2.5K course up and down the ski slopes
- All Day Buffet (6 hours):
- This race distance is as far as you can go in 6 hours up and down the ski slopes.
- The winner will be the person who has completed the most number of laps in the shortest amount of time within the 6 hour time limit. In other words, if two or more people have completed the same number of laps the winner will be the one who completed them first. If a runner is on the course at the 6 hour time limit, that final loop will not be counted.
All courses will be marked and all runners must stay on the designated trails.
